At the first stage in the process we will help you to gather the facts and your financial information and summarise this in a written document called an Open Financial Statement. This is an important part of the process and will be useful for your solicitors to see so that they can advise you on the best or likely outcome for you.
Once the facts are established and you are clear about what resources are available to you it will be easier to identify options and make choices. We can assist you in exploring any issues that may arise and find workable solutions.
At the conclusion of the mediation process, we will record your outcome in a final written summary. This is often called a Memorandum of Understanding or Protected Summary of Proposals. Your solicitors will use this document to create a consent order or separation agreement.
